He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carlis Kangeter, Sr. and Norma Faye Strickland Kangeter; and his siblings, James "Bubba" Kangeter and Susan Blevins. He is survived by: his wife Laura Sweatman Kangeter; his children, Joshua Jacob Kangeter and Pamela Faye Kangeter; his grandchildren, Evelyn Faye Durham and Grace-Elizabeth Irene Jones; and his sisters, Molly Kangeter-Malinowsky and Donna Bradley.
