It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Middleton (Walterboro, South Carolina), born in Cottageville, South Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Isaac Middleton and Eva Middleton; his children, Betty Deal of Walterboro, Carolina, Millicent Deal of Miami, Florida and Joe Deal (Joann) of Patterson; and his cousins, Michell, Linda of Orangeburg, Alberta Gilmore of Long Island and Eva George of Orangeburg. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends.
A public viewing will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at Stephens-Maree-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel of Serenity from 5:00 p. m. - 7:00 p. m. (THOSE ATTENDING THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACIAL MASK WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING.) James received his formal education at Colleton Training School in Walterboro, SC.
