He was predeceased by: his wife Bessie Adams Addison; and his parents, James Franklin Addison and Mamie Muckenfuss Addison. He is survived by: his children, James Kyle Addison Jr. (Nancy Peard) of Asheville, NC, Katherine Addison Oyer (Douglas Scott) of Mount Pleasant and Cynthia Addison Richards (Lee David) of Newark, DE.; his brother Edward Legare Addison of Edisto Island; his grandchildren, Lindsay Addison Hauss, Courtney Addison McKenzie, Elizabeth Adams Addison, Rebecca Lee Richards, James Lohman Oyer, Scott Adams Oyer and Katherine Olivia Oyer; and his great grandchildren, Addison Ann McKenzie, Garland Hamilton McKenzie III, Cameron Steele McKenzie, Julia Addison Hauss and Caroline Marie Hauss.
In consideration of the circumstances that currently exist with the coronavirus pandemic, and with the health and safety of the community in mind, a private graveside service will be held at the Jordan Cemetery in Cottageville.
