He is survived by: his friend Muhammad Ali; his wife Susan Coaxum Wilkey; his children, Katherine Wilkey, Layola Wilkey, Wanda Wilkey and Pamela Wilkey Taitt (Derrick); his grandchildren, Azium Epps, Danielle Taitt, Tyler Wilkey and Nicholas Wilkey; his siblings, Faye Walters, Celestine Bazzell (Bobby), Harvey Williams and Lethonia Burns; his siblings-in-law, Ruth Wilkey, Edna Wilkey, Elizabeth Oliver, Elizabeth Coaxum, Jack Mitchell, Frank Coaxum and Elder Johnnie D. Coaxum; his great-niece Melva J. Joy; and his cousin Howard Wilson.
