She was predeceased by: her parents, Kirk Benton and Merivan Kinard Benton; her granddaughter Kelly Lynn Vaughan; her siblings, Adolph Benton, Lee Benton, Randy Benton, Mae Smoak and Virginia Benton; and also, Harvey Prescott and Harman Robertson.
She is survived by: her children, Tarris Prescott of Walterboro, Sharon Hiers (Herbert) of Walterboro, Pamela Prescott of Walterboro, Harvey Prescott of Walterboro, Nancy Hunnewell of Columbia, Rebecca Prescott of Walterboro and Mildred Robertson of Walterboro; and her brothers, Rudolph Benton of Tennessee and Skeeter Benton of Walterboro. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
