He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Almeida Stanfield; and his parents, Harry Bellinger Stanfield, Sr. and Margaret Denham Stanfield. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Michael Stanfield of Walterboro, Margaret S. Craven of Walterboro and Harry Bellinger "H. B."; his grandchildren, Matthew Craven, Kimberly O'Quinn, Tasha O'Quinn and Thomas Craven; and his siblings, Frankie Stanfield of Savannah, Della Robertson of Walterboro and Patricia Utsey of Walterboro.
