She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene William "Billy" Sanders Jr.; her parents, Stephen Martin Crosby and Fay Rebecca Crosby; her daughter Rebecca "Becky" Sanders Varn; and her sister Edythe Crosby Buress.
She is survived by: her sons, Stephen Eugene "Steve" Sanders (Betty Llew) of Walterboro and Eugene William "Sandy" Sanders III (Carol) of Charleston; her grandchildren, Caroline Hooker (Matt), Ellyn Alexander (John), Faye Whitehead (Brad), Elizabeth Varn, Henry Varn Jr., Sarah Sanders and Sydney Sanders; her son-in-law Henry Varn; and her caregivers, Carolyn, LaDana, Estelle, Mary, Kay and Beverly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Connie Maxwell Children's Home.
