She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Eugene Turner, Sr. and Eugenia Carter Turner; and her brother Gilbert Eugene Turner, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Courtney Carter Barnwell (Callie Barnwell) of Anderson; her sister-in-law Catherine McDonald Turner; her niece Amanda Brooks DuBose (Dale) of Florence; her nephew Paul McArthur Brooks of Greenville; and her former husband Thomas O. Barnwell, Jr. of Arizona.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Saint Jude's Church (907 Wichman St, Walterboro, SC 29488).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in her memory to the following: St. Jude's Church Altar Guild Fund, 907 Wichman Street, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488; or to, Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
