She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Gary Ulmer Sr. and Bridie Marie Breland Ulmer; and her siblings, Claire Weeks, Gary, Olin and Paul Ulmer.
She is survived by: her husband Junior Nettles; her children, LaDean Drawdy (Chris) of Ruffin, Jack Nettles (Vicky) of Columbia and Bonnie Newton (Keith Sr.) of Ruffin; her grandchildren, Keith "Scooter" Newton Jr. (Natalie) and Megan Newton Tirpak (Nick); her stepgranddaughters, Savannah, Suzanne and Christina Drawdy; her great grandchildren, Kaden and Kohen; her brothers, George Ulmer of Brunson, Terry Ulmer (Mary) of Hampton and Keith Ulmer of Ruffin; and her sisters-in-law, Maxine and Frances Ulmer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Bethel Methodist Church or to Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
