It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Etta Hoats Simmons (Walterboro, South Carolina), who passed away on July 30, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Will "Rodgers" Simmons. She is survived by: her parents, James McCauley Hoats, Jr and Lou Etta Warren Hoats; her daughters, Janet Chaplin (Marshall) and Cynthia Regan (Daniel); her grandchildren, Kimberly Mock (Richard), Clay Chaplin (Kristin), Eric Robbins (Lyndi) and Will Chaplin (Caroline); and her great grandchildren, Hayden Lane Mock and Marshall Henry Chaplin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to the Colleton Museum.
