He is survived by: his wife Sharon Nicholson Edwards; his children, Alyssa Edwards of Seattle, WA and Jacob Edwards (Laura); his grandson Amos of Crestview, FL; his children, Victoria Edwards of Daytona Beach, FL, Eryn Edwards of New York, NY and James Edwards of Bonaire, GA.; and his siblings, Libby Jackson (Gary) of Charlotte, NC, Julie Jones (Lionel) of Charlotte, NC and John Edwards III of Lancaster, SC..
He faced his battle with early-onset Alzheimer's Disease with courage and resilience, leaving behind a legacy of strength, service, and a deep compassion for others. Emory's remarkable contributions to his country and his unwavering dedication to his family will be deeply missed.
