She was predeceased by: her husband Myles Rudolph "Rudy" Carter; and her parents, Herman Wolfe and Vernelle Hartzog Wolfe Smoak. She is survived by: her children, Terry Carter (Janice) of Walterboro, Rose Carter Hiers (Glen) of Walterboro and Peggy Carter Beach (Anthony) of Ruffin; and her siblings, Carlisle Wolfe of Saint George and Mary Wolfe Carter of Walterboro. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
