He is survived by: his parent Annie Louise Crapse Avant; his wife Kaye Franklin Avant of Walterboro; his children, Dee Avant Stone (Scott) of Walterboro and John Avant (Angie) of Walterboro; and his grandchildren, Chase King, Cole King and Hanna Avant.
