It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elder Tony B. Johnson (Walterboro, South Carolina), who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Pinckney and Effie Mae Johnson; his sister Arlene Vanderhurst (William); and his aunt Gertrude Bryant. He is survived by: his daughter Karlene Kristian; his wife Sharon Lovell Pompey-Johnson; his son Tony (Cynthia); his siblings, Ritchie (Bonnie), Tyrone, Clyde (Cynthia), Valirie Johnson and Kathleen Welch Johnson; his aunt Agnes Lambert (James); his father-in-law Bernard Prioleau; his brother-in-law Bernie Prioleau (Katina); his godmother Essie Ree Bowles; and his goddaughter Faith Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
