He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Weeks Nettles and Joyce Fender Nettles; and his sister Janice Nettles Brandt. He is survived by: his wife Jean McJunkin Nettles of Walterboro; his son Dennis Billy Nettles, Jr. of Walterboro; and his mother-in-law Peggy Holden McJunkin of Walterboro. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
