He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert E. "Shorty" Austin and Audrey Mae "Foxy" Bunch; and his sister Diane Austin Bazzle. He is survived by: his wife Lizzie Johnson Austin; his daughters, Karen Denise Austin of Walterboro and Krystal Austin Logan (Jaquis) of Walterboro; his siblings, Riley Austin of Walterboro, Ann Iriel of Walterboro and Cindy George (Ray) of Walterboro; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Paris, Darrell, Caine, Lexi and Kash.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to: American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406.
