She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert L. Smoak and Adelphia Ritter Smoak; and her son-in-law David Williamson. She is survived by: her daughters, Gil Freitag of Redisville, Patricia "Sissy" Williamson of Walterboro and Cathy Cook (Bill) of Walterboro; her grandchildren, Kelly Freitag of Charleston, Kate Freitag of Charleston, Ben Freitag of Charleston and Leslie Williamson Freke (Tim) of Walterboro; her daughter Melissa Williamson Southard (William) of Charleston; her great grandchildren, Georgia, Parker, Vada and Bradeden; and her sister Harriet Kessler of Piney Flats, Tennessee..
Due to the current state with the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic, a private graveside funeral ceremony will be held in the family plot at Live Oak Cemetery on South Jefferies Boulevard in Walterboro with only her family in attendance Saturday morning, July 25, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to Bethel United Methodist Church, 355 Hampton Street, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
