He is survived by: his mother Betty Brandon Vanhoy of Yadkinville; his children, Christopher Michael Vanhoy, Jr. of Goose Creek and Emma Ruth Vanhoy of Goose Creek; the mother of his children Alicia Ruth Zorn of Goose Creek; and his close friend Jenny Horton of Walterboro.
