He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Fletcher Byrd and Sarah Hilton Byrd; and his siblings, Fletcher Byrd, Geneva Canaday, Elise Harbeson, S. D. Byrd and Samuel Byrd.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Reeves Byrd of Round; his children, Minnilynn Byrd Rodgers (Frank) of Centre, Cecil Byrd, Jr. (Ginger) of Simpsonville and Carl Byrd (Robbin) of St. George; his grandchildren, Dustin Rodgers (Brittney), Caleb Rodgers (Shannon), Krista Byrd and Jacob Byrd; his great grandchildren, Madison, Ellie and Hayley Rodgers; his stepgrandchildren, Hunter Hall (Victoria), Taylor Hall (Daniel), Michelle Strange (Mike), Michael Binkley and Jessica Vance (Rachel); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Greer, Smith, Rory, Kaleb, Hunter, Cooper, Abbigail, Jacob and Cameron.
