Carolyn Cook Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Cook (Walterboro, South Carolina), who passed away on November 20, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Lester Riddick Cook, Sr.; her parents, Reese Pious Smith and Viola Wooten Smith; her brothers, Jesse David Smith, Byrnes Smith and Reese Smith; and her brothers-in-law, Lee Miller and Donnie Cook.

She is survived by: her children, Lester Riddick Cook, Jr. (Sherry Curry-Cook), Phyllis Cook Briaud and Jeffrey Michael Cook; her grandchildren, Brandon Cook, Ashli Cook, Garrett Briaud, Jade Briaud, Michael Cook and Grayson Cook; her stepgrandchildren, Travis Curry and Keeley Briaud; her great grandchildren, Bayden Cook, Elina Cook, Wyatt Cook and Amelia Quinn Curry; her siblings, Mac Smith of Hampton, Gladys Miller of Aiken, Betty Cook of Hampton and Nina Gray (Ronnie) of Hampton; and her sisters-in-law, Jewell Smith of Hampton, Barbara "Bitsy" Smith of Hampton and Glory Thomas (Jan Thomas) of Fairfax. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
