Carol Simmons Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Simmons of Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William "Billy" Francis Simmons; her parents, Kathleen Haws Roderick and Eugene Anthony Roderick; and her sons, Gene Simmons and Jim Simmons.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathleen Simmons Whelan of Columbia; her grandchildren, Cam Whelan of Santa Monica, Jack Whelan of Atlantic Beach, Mary Reeves Simmons and Forrest Simmons of Walterboro; and her stepsiblings, Louisa Hodges Sigman of Savannah and Ted Hodges, Jr. of Walterboro.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Live Oak Cemetery. A reception will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
