He is survived by: his wife Joyce O'Quinn Carter; his children, Richard Christopher Carter of Walterboro, Stephen Whitney Carter of Ladson and Jennifer Lee Carter Stone (Michael); his grandchildren, Jesse, Cole, Alex, Alison and Candace; and his brother Don Mike Carter (Janet) of Walterboro.
