He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Laverne Hardin McCubbins; his parents, Golden W. McCubbins and Lula Nalley McCubbins; his daughters, Cindy Hale and Donna Pacetti; and his siblings, Joseph Randall McCubbins, Dennis Clay McCubbins, Mark Dean McCubbins and Tammy Potts.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry LaVerne Nichols (Tommy) of Smoaks, Rita Lynn Cline (Tommy) of Round and Billy McCubbins, Jr. (Dee Dee) of Cottageville; his son-in-law Gary Hale of Walterboro; his sisters, Brenda Faye Spalding, Judy Nalley, Patty Crume and Helen Johnson; and his grandchildren, Tara Carte and Joey Pacetti. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
