She was predeceased by: her mother Lillie Mae Griffin; her son Derrick Johnson; her former husbands, Sidney Johnson and Joseph Brown, Jr.; and her grandson Cory Dixon.
She is survived by: her husband James Lambert of Smoaks; her daughters, Sharon Joyner of Bronx, Teris Johnson of Walterboro, Theresa Daniels of Walterboro and Sharii Brown of Uniondale; her stepchildren, Lana Robinson (Arthur) of Columbia and James Lambert (Quentella) of Smoaks; her grandchildren, Shaun Johnson of Maryland, Terrence Johnson of Maryland, Darnell Dixon of Bronx, Tywan of Fort Lauderdale, Katrell Dixon of Bronx, Brandon Johnson of Virginia Beach, Jonathan Daniels of Myrtle Beach, Christian Drummond of Uniondale, Krystal Daniels of Walterboro, Kristina Johnson of Brooklyn, Aaliyah Dixon-Myers of Charleston and Aniya Brown of Hackensack; her siblings-in-law, Viola Scott, Patricia Moore (Ervin), Lois Taylor and Rev. Earl Walker of Southhill, Virginia; her daughter-in-law Juanita Johnson of New York; her cousin Vhonnye Singleton of Charlotte; and her close friend Amelia Major. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home (1767 Jefferies Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church (486 Johnsville Rd, Smoaks, SC 29481).
