She was predeceased by : her parents, Swinton Dubois and Gladys Cooper Cummings; and her daughter Bonnie Aletha Bright. She is survived by : her husband Harry Hopkins Bright; her daughters, Marsha E. Clyburn (Kenneth), Harriet C. Barrett (Robert) and Gladys M. Lisbon (Peter); her granddaughters, Kristen Clyburn, Candance Barrett, Kourtney Barrett and Bianca Epps; her great grandchild Kingston Barrett-Reedy; her brother-in-law Douglas Bright; her sister Lizzie Kinloch; her goddaughter Karen Kinloch; and her nephews, Chester Bright, Bruce Grant and Anderson Grant, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home (1767 Jefferies Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Isaiah United Methodist Church (3867 Cooks Hill Rd, Walterboro, SC 29488). A burial was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
