It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Adeline Craven of Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 97, on January 7, 2025. She was predeceased by: her spouse J. J. Craven; her parents, Joseph Ellie Carson Sr. and Mary Jomimah Utsey Carson; her siblings, Betty Ginn, Annie Lou, Virginia, Mary Ruth Craven, Aaron, Joseph and James Carson; and her half-siblings, Lucille Corbett and Buddy Carson.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Walker (Donald), Charles Edward Craven (Jeanette) and Laura Lynn Hughes; and her sister Dell McCraw. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home (117 Paul St, Walterboro, SC 29488). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at the Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery (2410 Cottageville Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488).
