She was predeceased by: her son Larry Dale Barnwell; and her sister Blanch Bennett Brooks. She is survived by: her spouse Wallace; her brother William R. Bennett; her children, Lynn Barnwell Haire (Dennis) of Rock Hill, Robert Eugene Barnwell (Debbie Comer) of Rock Hill and Mark Steven Barnwell of Tega Cay; her grandchildren, Cari Barnwell Evans (Randy) of Rock Hill, Christopher Warren Haire (Susan) of Travelers Rest, SC, Melissa Barnwell Plyler (Jeffrey) of Rock Hill, Paul Bennett Haire (Samantha) of Daniel Island, SC and Sam Barnwell of Charlotte, NC; and her sister-in-law Doris Barnwell Garrison of Rock Hill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
