He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ann Dempsey Evett; his children, James Kennedy of Walhalla, Chad Evett (Kristen) of Westminster, Kelley Evett Morehead of Westminster and Hope Fuller (Thomas); and his siblings, Jerry, Joe, Carolyn and Ann. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
