She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Oscar Maddox of Walhalla; her parents, Charles "Charlie" Velton and Thelma Westmoreland Garrett; and her siblings, Colleen Phillips, Zane "Red" Garrett, Charles "Pop" Garrett and Jon Garrett.

She is survived by: her children, Keith Maddox (Judy) of West Union, Kathy Rowland of Salem, Angela Story (Todd) of Westminster and Danielle Campbell of Walhalla; her grandchildren, Jason Justice, Caleb Story (Shannon), Kaitlin Reed (Michael) and Tabor Harden; her great grandchildren, Kaeli Story, Ryder Story and Harper Story; and her sister Elizabeth Geraldine Dorsey of Walhalla.
