He was predeceased by: his wife Nora Moore Tench of Walhalla; his parents, Guy Tench and Bertha Roberts Tench; and his siblings, Guy Tench, Jr., James Roy Tench and Kathleen Smith.
He is survived by: his sister Darlene Price (Seaborn) of Walhalla, SC; his brother-in-law James L. Smith of Walhalla; his nieces, Kathy Diane Smith (Ronald) and Sherry Willer (Charlie); his nephew Doug Tench (Sandra); his stepdaughter Debora Lang (James) of Manning, SC; his stepgrandchildren, Misty Lang Welborn and Bradley Scott Lang (Misti); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Gage James Welborn, Lexi Lang and Blake Connor Lang.
