He was predeceased by: his parents, William Acy and Lily Maude Hooser Hughes; and his daughter Patricia Joanne Hughes Ebel. He is survived by: his wife Lola Mae Webb Hughes of Walhalla; his children, Richard Alan Hughes, Nancy Lee Hughes Taylor, Peggy Sue Hughes Rinard and Marilyn Kay Hughes Smith; and his brother Alan Wayne Hughes. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
