She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Herron of Walhalla, SC; her parents, Ernest Partin and Mary Ida Leach Partin; her sons, Clyde Herron and Larry Ellis; and her siblings, Ralph Partin, Randall Partin, Ruth Henson, Jolene James and Jewell Pierce.

She is survived by: her children, Harold Ellis (Jackie), Robert Herron (Ann) and Donna Underwood (Steve); and her siblings, Ray Partin, Scottie Partin, Kenneth Partin and Jean Hunnicutt. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
