She was predeceased by: her husband William Clayburn McAlister of Walhalla; her parents, Dewey Waldrop and Stella Stewart Waldrop; her daughter Pamela Denise Couch; her grandson Chris Sanders; and her siblings, Henry, George Waldrop, Jennie Tyner, Louise Ramsey and Evea Capps.

She is survived by: her children, William McAlister (Susan), Jeffery McAlister (Rebecca) and Sheila Catchings (Malcolm); her sister Lillie Moore; and her grandchildren, Anthony, Dakota, Aaron, Katlyn, Kentaé and Lexi. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
