She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Hughes and Roxie Hughes; and her siblings, Brenda Bates, Mildred Broderick, Fran Davis, Helen Fricks, Eunice Garner, Danny Hughes and Billy Welch.

She is survived by: her husband William Thomas Alexander of Walhalla, SC; her children, Joey Pelfrey and Miranda Alexander (Kyle Brown); her stepdaughters, Tracie Griffin (Moby), Debbie Alexander (Daryl Bolin) and Tina Martin (Curtis); her siblings, Vance Welch and Gail Kelley; and her sister-in-law Lenda Alexander. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
