She was predeceased by: her husband Fred M. Kuemmerer of Walhalla; her parents, D. C. Russell and Florrie Russell; her siblings, William Rudolph "Buddy" Russell, Hazel Powell, Rebecca Rogers Hill and Eugenia C. Russell; and her grandson David Orr.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph M. Kuemmerer (Sherry) of Walhalla, SC and Roberta Lynne Bailey (Philip) of Whitesburg, GA; and her sisters, Laura Murdock and Rose Shirley.
