He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gerard Campbell, Sr. and Willie Mae Williams Campbell; his son Alan Campbell; and his siblings, Geraldine Campbell, Patricia Cockrill, Thomas Campbell, Wade Campbell, Matt Holloway, Peyton Campbell and Cameron Campbell.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Campbell of Walhalla; his sons, Brian Campbell (Jill) of Walhalla and Jason Campbell (Kim) of Walhalla; his daughter-in-law Amy Campbell of Fair Play; his brother Jack Campbell of Walhalla; and his grandchildren, Brady Campbell, Colt Campbell, Vickie Stilwell, Jessica Campbell, Ella Rose Campbell and Iris Campbell. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
