He was predeceased by: his siblings, John Meeler and Sara Helen Meeler; and his parents, Mary Garris Meeler and Jewell Thomas Meeler. He is survived by: his children, Jill Meeler (Leah) and Brent Thompson; his grandchildren, William, Samuel and Ava Thompson; and his brother Charles Meeler (Donna).
