He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gibson and Ruby Nell Sullivan Gibson; and his sister Karen Heaton. He is survived by: his wife Karen Standridge Gibson; his children, Shawn Gibson (Bonita), Crystal Martin (Frank), Dalynn Smith (Chris), Wendy Nichols (Joe), Donna Bradsher (Greg) and Michael O'Kelly (Cheryl); and his brothers, Johnny Gibson, Ricky Gibson (Lisa) and Larry Gibson (Linda). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
