He was predeceased by: his parents, John Arthur Alexander and Victoria Lee Abercrombie Alexander; and his siblings, Floyd, Claude, James Alexander, Ruby Wilson and Pauline Childress.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Massey of Walhalla, Sheila Klein of Westminster and Trenia Alexander of West Union. He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
