With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane William Carlson of Walhalla, South Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Carlson and Nelma Ottelia Carlson; and his siblings, Norman Carlson, Helen Carr, Vivian Hillman and Everett Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Andrea Carlson of Walhalla, SC; his former wife Kay Carlson; his children, Brenda Rutledge (Keith), John Carlson (Carolyn) and Michael Carlson (Monica Manolas); his stepsons, Gary Martin (Lori) and Scott Martin; and his grandchildren, Josh Rutledge (Kim), Liza Rutledge (Kenny Morris), Olivia Burnitz (Carl), Victor Rutledge (Madeline), John Carlson, Eric Carlson, Megan Carlson and Lauren Carlson.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (301 W Main St, Walhalla, SC 29691).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 301 West Main Street, Walhalla, SC 29691.
