He is survived by: his spouse Trad Gunter; his sons, Clayton Fretwell of Charleston and Brian Fretwell of Anderson; his siblings, Felton Fretwell of West Union, Lavada Connally (Steve) of Seneca and Sharon Alexander of Pickens; his nephew Gage Gunter of Seneca; his nieces, Nicolette Gunter of Walhalla and Samantha Wooten (Brandon Gaskill) of Central; his great-nephew Waylon Browne; his great-nieces, Emma Gilliland of Walhalla, Amelia of Walhalla and Emberlyn Rogers of Walhalla; his close friend Sylvia Galloway of Walhalla; and his pet Sassy.
