He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Carolyn Moss Smith; his parents, Ivan Clifton Smith, Sr. and Clara King Smith; and his siblings, Ivan Clifton Smith, Jr., Joyce Smith Taylor, Mary Smith Stephens and Patricia Smith Metcalf.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Dale Smith (Andrea) of Mt. Rest, SC, Bobby Devon Smith (Crystal) of Walhalla, SC, Regina Smith Winkler (Wallace) of West Columbia, SC and Rhonda Michelle Smith of Westminster, SC; his brother Roy Smith (Pat) of Westminster, SC; his grandchildren, Alexander Nathaniel Winkler (Courtney), Kennedy Winkler Wicker (Andy), Jason Clay Smith, Helen Elaine Wood, Dylan Walker Smith, Jeffrey Leon Smith, Elizabeth Michelle Smith and Logan Walker Smith; and his great grandchildren, Knox Alexander Winkler and Turner Buxton Winkler.
