She was predeceased by: her son Ron Black; her parents, John Wesley Jeffcoat, Sr. and Lee Ellen Chavis Jeffcoat; and her sibling Shelby J. Stevenson. She is survived by: her husband Wendell Carl Black; her daughters, Donna Hoover (Ricky), Terri Collins (Mike) and Monica Taylor (Travis); her grandchildren, Kyle Hoover and Dillon Taylor (Savannah); her great grandchildren, Kael Hoover and Charleston Taylor; and her siblings, Peggy J. Dillon, Linda J. Whitesides (Jerry) and John W. Jeffcoat, Jr. (Cindy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Grove Baptist Church.
