With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Kozur of Wagener, South Carolina, who passed away on September 14, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Suzanne "Bootsie" Michelle Kozur; his brother Robert G. Kozur (Kathleen); and his siblings-in-law, Charles Smith (Josephine) and Thomas Smith. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Smith Kozur; his children, John Charles Kozur (Lee Hill), Robert "Bob" Stephen Kozur (Wanda) and Alicia Beth Kozur Caughman (Ronnie); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kevin Schroeder, Jr., Daniel Menchey, Savannah Schroeder, Jasmine Wersten, Liam Wersten and Jonathan Schroeder; his sister Elizabeth Ann Kozur Baker; and his sisters-in-law, Joan H. Economos (late Taki) and Carol Williams (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. John's honor to Church Hill Volunteer Fire Department (CHVFD) Post Office Box 66 Church Hill, Maryland 21623.

“Dear Aunt Betty and family - my heart is heavy today, thinking of Uncle John. Too many great memories of childhood camping trips, closing down Busch Gardens at the end of the season, sticky buns from the farmer's market (butter on all 4 corners!) and of course, Krispy Kreme donuts! Getting a hug from Uncle John after my dad died was like having dad here just a little bit longer. Thinking of all of you today and always.
