It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Holmes of Wagener, South Carolina, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Holmes and James C. Holmes; his siblings, J. C., Leroy Holmes, Bernice Holmes and Gracie Samuel; and his aunt Elease Holmes Tyler.
He is survived by: his nieces, Beatrice Holmes, Marilyn Gilley (Stanley), Alecia "Lisa" Samuel, Michelle Samuel and Angela Samuel; his cousins, Grace Hancook, Rev. Estelle Sally Hammond and Albert Hammond; and his uncle Sonny. He is also survived by relatives, great/grand-nieces & nephews, cousins & friends.
