He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow "Row" Atkinson and Marie Herrington Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Nina Mae Gantt; and his sister Nellie Black. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Sawgrass Church (6727 Wagener Rd, Wagener, SC 29164).
