He was predeceased by: his siblings, Buddy Poole and Carolyn "Crack" Bolton (Olin); and his parents, J. E. Poole and Aileen Cato Poole. He is survived by: his spouse Earhart Poole; his children, Susan Loibl (Matthew), Terry Poole (Susan), Brice Chmarouski (Bernice) and Mindy Brooks (John); his grandchildren, Makayla Brooks, Maya Williams, Jacob Chmarouski, Jolie Brooks (Casey Berry), Jesse Chmarouski, Annalise Loibl, Emma Grace Poole, Nathan Loibl and Alora Chmarouski; his sisters, Emily Jackson (late John), Della Jackson (late Wilk) and Kay Yon; and his brother-in-law David Earhart (Debi).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials be made to the Hollow Creek Fire Department at 858 Hollow Creek Road, Salley, SC 29137.
