It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Wooten (Wagener, South Carolina), who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Wooten to pay them a last tribute.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Dee Taylor (Larry) of Aiken and Troy Wooten (Ann) of Perry; his grandchildren, Eden Sliker (Tommy) of Salley, J. T, Anna Moore (Kitt) of Hilda and Jordan Mink of Aiken; his great grandchildren, Sophia Sliker, Michael Sliker and Henry Moore; his sisters, Margie Bishop, Barbara Hartley (Phillip), Hazel Duncan (Owen) and Debbie Taylor; and his parents, Samuel "Sam" Legree Wooten and Ruth O. Toole Wooten. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethcar Baptist Church (950 Bethcar Church Rd, Wagener, SC 29164). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Berlin Baptist Church Children's Ministry, Double Pond Baptist Church Children's Ministry, Blackville, or Children's Place, Inc Child Development Center, Aiken.
