He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Widener Hardy; his children, Cynthia Hardy and Cheryl Hardy Poole; his grandchildren, Hank Richard William Poole and Emma Jean Marie Poole; and his siblings, Tom Hardy (Barbara) of Arkansas and Eugene Hardy of Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
