He is survived by: his wife Lydia Cook (Stanley) of Varnville; his son Michael Cook Jr. (Amanda) of Denver, Colorado; his grandsons, Perry and Jack Cook of Denver, Colorado; and his siblings, Chris Cook of Fairfax, Philip Schmitten (Evelyn) of Tomball, Texas and Mary Cook Anderton of Fairhope, Alabama..
